Red lipstick is classic and sexy at the same time , having a red lip on can make you look fresh and done up instantly , knowing how to perfect it ,  is a must . Im here to give you the best tips to trick people into thinking you're a pro .

step 1: defining lips and priming

instead of using a lip liner , I cover my lips all over with concealer focusing on the edges

 , then taking a q-tip with some vaseline on it
, I trace back the shape of my lips by wiping away the concealer working my way from the center to the lip line,  this way you'll have a shaped and moisturized lips at the same time. and then you finish everything by dusting some lose powder over the area focusing on the edges which will prevent the lipstick from smudging

step 2 : color

when putting the lipstick on , try starting the application from the center of your lips which will prevent any mistakes from happening spreading the lipstick until you get the desired look ,


using a lipbrush helps having a defined line , finish by bloting  your lips with a tissue paper , and applying a second coat of your lipstick avoiding the sharp line we just created.


step 3 :finishing touches

you might want to go over the edges with concealer if any mistake were made , and topping the corners with powder just to make sure it won't smudge .

step 4 ( optional ) : gloss or not to gloss ?

putting gloss over red lipstick is a tricky part that could turn into a mess , what you can try doing is applying gloss on the center blending it to the edges avoiding the corners making sure you don't go over your lip line
